1958年美国电影《寂寞孤心》主要讲的是：Eager to land a journalistic position, Adam White goes to work as an advice-giving newspaper columnist. His editor, Shrike, takes pleasure in browbeating his alcoholic wife Florence for her past adultery伊凡尼一家顿时陷入了一篇黑暗当中，母亲终日以泪洗脸，姐姐艾琳压抑着痛苦照顾悲伤的父母，而父亲，更是因为过度悲痛而不能继续工作, and assigning his employees journalistic jobs for which they have little aptitude or interest.
